Geocache Description:

This cache is not far from the road, but, remember this is Dartmoor, with unpredictable and fast changing weather, and verges can become quite wet and unsuitable for parking.


Situated in the South-West part of Dartmoor,Wigford Down is open access land pushing north of the Dewerstone and west of Cadover Bridge. Wigford Down has the remains of an extensive Bronze Age field system. The fields are enclosed by low stone walls between which are interspersed groups of huts and a number of reaves criss-cross the site.

This cache is at the base of a holly tree within gorse on the north side of Wigford Down, the cache is in a small lock box with log only. Not siutable for trackables.
