Geocache Description:

A simple puzzle cache placed in remembrance of one of Britain's most successful professional cyclists. He was born in Haswell, County Durham and later moved to Harworth, Nottinghamshire. In the thirteenth stage of the 1967 Tour de France, Simpson collapsed and died during the ascent of Mont Ventoux aged 29.

To find this cache you will need to find the answers to some questions about Tommy.

Tommy was the first British rider to win the rainbow stripes of the Mens World Road Race Champion. A feet that wasn't to be repeated by a British rider until Mark Cavendish won the title in 2011.

I'm sure that most geocachers looking at this page will use the internet as their prime source when answering these questions. However I would recommend reading "Cycling is My Life" Tommy Simpson and "Put Me Back On My Bike: In Search of Tom Simpson" William Fotheringham for a fuller account of his life.
