St Michael and All Angels Church, Great Comberton, Worcestershire is a limestone church with Norman nave walls and a 15th century tower The interior is simple and elegant with a number of examples of Victorian and Edwardian stained glass alongside a colourful window commissioned for the Millenium. The chancel was restored by Sir Gilbert Scott in 1862. There is an interesting yew tree in the churchyard with several branches supported on crutches.
The main route through Great Comberton is lined with attractive thatched and black-and-white cottages dating back to the 16th Century. However there is little in the way of faciilities as it has no inn or shop.
The village lies on the Wychavon Way and the cache is set on the section that runs south-west from the church and out onto the main through road. Parking is not easy - there is one space by the church gate but make sure not to block access to an adjacent property. It may also be possible to park in Back Lane and approach the cache from the western side or, if doing other caches in the area, by the telephone box..
The cache is under trees with all that entails for GPS signals. It consists of a black bison tube. A pen and, probably' tweezers will be required. Please replace carefully.
