The mission church of St. James, opened in August, 1882, by Dr. Benson, sometime Bishop of Truro, and late Archbishop of Canterbury, is a building of stone in the Early English style, and consists of chancel, nave, north porch and a bell turret containing one bell: the church was built by subscription at a cost of £500, the font being given by the builder, Mr. William Carah, of Praze, and has sittings for 100 persons.
