We recently made the pilgrimage to the North American Capital of Gadget Caches – Berkeley County, West Virginia, to check out the very creative gadget/puzzle/smart geocache masterpieces of WVTim. We came back inspired to contribute something similar to our local geocaching community.
This is our first of what we hope are many gadget caches. We have placed this in celebration of the Fall Favorites 2016 initiative. If you have enjoyed this cache and feel it deserves some favorite point lovin’, please feel free to award it a favorite point! That will encourage us to create more caches similar to this.
Please feel free to park in the nearby driveway, it’s a very short walk to Ground Zero.
This is a gadget cache, meaning that you will easily find Ground Zero, but signing the log will require you to solve how to open the cache log compartment.
NO tools required! Everything you need is physically on the cache itself.
NO force required – please be gentle, when done correctly the cache puzzle is easily solved with some intuition, a strong sense of observation, a little trial and error and some patience. A child will be able to do this puzzle without the use of force.
Please replace everything as found before you leave, so that the next geocacher can fully enjoy this cache too.
Original log container contains log, pen and trinkets – but feel free to bring your own pen. No signature, no smiley!
We have poured 30-40 hours into making this geocache, please take a few moments to enjoy it the way it's meant to be enjoyed. Once you have solved the lock combination, to open the lock, line up the correct numbers, and give the lock a squeeze by pushing the silver shackle into the lock before releasing it.
