Park at the gate at the end of Crowley Line where it intersects with Rosa Landing Road. There is an unmaintained road leading into the Conservation Area. Enjoy the walk into the old gravel pits. A great place to walk the dogs, although I am not sure of the water quality in the ponds. I have only ever run into other people here once or twice. Dog walkers, horse riders and bird watchers. It is about a 1 km hike into the farthest cache, so give yourself plenty of time. The trail is not heavily travelled so wear sturdy footwear. The further caches require a bit of bushwacking and depending on season, the grass may be long, although there is a trail all the way around if you can find it, I think it was made by deer :)
*UPDATE* NOVEMBER 17/16 -- THE OPENING INTO THE GRAVEL PIT AREA HAS BEEN CLOSED BY SOME NEW FENCING - unless you are 4 inches wide you will have to hop the gate, or follow the ATV trail up further and there is an opening in the fence a couple hundred meters along. I assume there have been ATV's driving in the pit area that has prompted this closure... I don't think a few geocachers would have caused an issue.
To access the other caches, turn left at the bottom of the hill at the gate and follow the trail in.
CELL service is spotty at times in here so be prepared! Not recommended in summer as the deer flies are horrible! Don't say I didn't warn you. Great spot to walk in the other seasons.
