Blanko leží u hranice s Rakouskem, 2km jihozápadně od obce Nová Bystřice. Lokalita byla vyhlášena státní přírodní rezervací výnosem Ministerstva kultury roku 1998 a rozkládá se na území o rozloze 11,7 ha. Ukrývá bohatou faunu a flóru a je obklopena smíšeným lesem. Dominantou je stejnojmenný rybník, na jehož východním břehu se nachází slatinné rašeliniště, díky němuž má zdejší koupání blahodárné účinky na pokožku a klouby.
Blanko je domovem ohrožených a chráněných druhů rostlin a živočichů. Nalezneme zde např. orobinec úzkolistý, rákos obecný, třtinu šedavou, bublinatku jižní, smldník bahenní či vrbu pětimužnou. Lokalitu obývá také asi 20 druhů vážek, rosnička zelená, blatnice skvrnitá či vzácný druh podkorního brouka. V okolí hnízdí chřastát, moták pochop, čírka modrá či bekasina otavní.

Blanko is located near the Austrian border, 2 kilometers southwest from the village Nová Bystřice. Blanko, that covers an area of 11.7 hectares, was proclaimed a nature reserve by the Ministry of Culture in 1998. It is surronded by mixed forest and very rich in flora and fauna wealth. The dominant feature is a pond also called Blanko. On the eastern shore is a quagmire, which has beneficial effects on the skin and joints.
Blanko is a home to endangered and protected species of flora and fauna. You can find here for example Typha angustifolia, Phragmites australis, Calamagrostis canescens, Utricularia australis, Peucedanum palustre or Salix pentandra. The area is also inhabited by about 20 spicies of dragonflies, European tree frog, Pelobates fuscus or rare species of bark beatles. In the surroundings Crex, Circus aeruginosus, Anas querquedula or Gallinago gallinago are nesting.

Blanko liegt in der Nähe von der österreichischen Grenze, 2 km südwestlich vom Dorf Nová Bystřice. Blanko, was eine Fläche von 11,7 Hektar hat, wurde im Jahr 1988 als Naturschutzgebiet vom Ministerium für Kultur proklamiert. Es ist durch den Mischwald und großem Reichtum an Flora und Fauna umgeben. Eine auffällige Besonderheit ist auch der sogenannte Blanko-Teich. Am östlichen Ufer ist ein Morast, die eine wohltuende Wirkung auf Haut und Gelenke hat.
Blanko ist ein Haus für gefährdete und geschützte Pflanzenarten und Tierarten. Sie können hier zum Beispiel Typha angustifolia, Phragmites australis, Calamagrostis canescens, Utricularia australis, Peucedanum palustre oder Salix pentandra finden. Das Gebiet wird auch von etwa 20 Arten von Libellen, Europäischer Baumfröschen, Pelobates fuscus oder seltenen Arten von Rindenkäfern bewohnt. Die Umgebung bewohnen außerdem Crex, Circus aeruginosus, Anas querquedula oder Gallinago gallinago.
Die Pension, die in der Nähe der angegebenen Koordinaten ist, wurde nach dem Naturschutzgebiet benannt und hier wird unsere Reise beginnen.
