Les puits artésiens sont des fontaines d’où l’eau jaillit spontanément en permanence. Sur Andernos, ils sont forés à une profondeur de 100 à 120 mètres. Il y en a eu jusqu'à 10 sur la commune. L’eau provient d'une nappe phréatique qui prend sa source dans les Pyrénées.

Artesian wells are fountains from which water flows continuously. On Andernos, they are drilled to a depth of 100 to 120 meters. There were up to 10 of them on the commune. The water comes from a water table that originates in the Pyrenees.
