Die Strecke ist rund 9,5 km lang und führt dich durch die Allmend bis nach Felben-Wellhausen und zurück nach Frauenfeld. Der Trail eignet sich besonders für Radfahrer.
This is a power trail with 38 tradis. Each cache is dedicated to a celebrity from Switzerland. The route is about 9.5 km and leads you through the Allmend to Felben-Wellhausen and back to Frauenfeld. The trail is particularly suitable for cyclists.
Mario Botta
Mario Botta (* 1. April 1943 in Mendrisio, Kanton Tessin) ist ein Schweizer Architekt und Professor für Architektur. Von 1964 bis 1969 studierte er Architektur am IUAV Istituto Universitario d’Architettura di Venezia, wo er 1969 bei Carlo Scarpa und Giuseppe Mazzariol diplomierte. Noch im selben Jahr eröffnete er ein eigenes Architekturbüro in Lugano. Mario Botta arbeitet oft mit massiven Baumaterialien, wie Naturstein, Backstein oder Beton. Der rationalistische Stil Bottas setzt sich aus einer streng geometrischen, schlichten Formensprache und Bestandteilen wie Licht und Schatten zusammen. Viele seiner Werke findet man in seiner Heimat, dem Tessin. Mario Botta ist aber weltweit tätig und hat weit über die Grenzen der Schweiz hinaus viele Bewunderer.
Mario Botta (born April 1, 1943) is a Swiss architect. He studied at the Liceo Artistico in Milan and the IUAV in Venice. His ideas were influenced by Le Corbusier, Carlo Scarpa, Louis Kahn. He opened his own practice in 1970 in Lugano. His trademark style can be seen widely in Switzerland particularly the Ticino region and also in the Mediatheque in Villeurbanne (1988), a cathedral in Évry (1995), and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art or SFMOMA (1994). He also designed the Europa-Park Dome, which houses many major events at the Europa-Park theme park resort in Germany.
