A huge marker post has been placed at the head of the Blacklane Brook and where Black Lane starts. This particular post (which is a railway sleeper) has only recently been placed and replaces the previous one which has rotted away over the years and can now be found on the ground. The post is within sight of the cache.
The weather on Dartmoor can change suddenly and unexpectedly and ALL types of weather conditions can be experienced. Please ensure that you have the correct clothing and map & compass (and know how to use them). Please do NOT rely solely on your GPS.
