I recently attended a Greek wedding. I'd never been to one, and it was an interesting glimpse into another culture. At the reception, while munching on a fairy tart (5,3), I spoke to the bride's uncle who mentioned that he had taken up stamp collecting recently (9,6). On the cake, in a nod to their ancient roots, was an underaged Minoan labyrinth denizen (5,8). Among the appetizers was something that to my foreign palate looked and tasted like horse poop (4,6), but I ate it anyway to be polite. As I did the uncle gave me his thoughts on kremmýdi (5,7). Desperately trying to disengage from him, I spied a far more alluring soothsayer (6,4) across the way, standing under a William McGonagall placard (9,6). She proposed a wager on letters (8,3) to me. If I won she would have to shred pencil lead (5,8); if she won, I would have to wear a blackfish's clothes (7,4). I didn't even know fish wore clothes!
