Zaujímavosti o Thurzovom dome:
- Thurzov dom je bezpochyby najhonosnejším meštianskym domom v Levoči
- Honosnosť domu prezrádza o veľmi významných a bohatých majiteľoch domu
- Najprv patril Thurzovcom, neskôr Csákyovcom- oba tieto rody vlastnili aj Spišský hrad!
- Csákyovci [čákiovci] boli poslednými majiteľmi domu a fasáde dali jej dnešnú podobu
- Thurzov dom vznikol v 15. stor. spojením dvoch susedných domov- dôkazom je rozdielna výška oboch častí budovy
Podľa známeho maď. románu od Móra Jókaiho tu žila Levočská biela pani- samozrejme, že je to len fantázia autora (NEBOL to tento, ale iný Thurzov dom na námestí → dnešná pošta. Thurzovci vlastnili v Levoči 3 domy)- Thurzov dom je jediným objektom na námestí, kde sa zachovala renesančná atika. Atika je plochý múrik, ktorý skrýva strechu a terasu. Tento prvok v architektúre je typický pre región Spiš!
O samotnej šifre:
Vašou úlohou bude zistiť rok ABCD, ktorý je zašifrovaný v latinskom texte nad oknom 2. poschodia na Thurzovom dome. Už z názvu kešky viete, že ide o chronostikon. Chronostikon (alebo inak povedané chronogram, chronostich, chronostichon) je text (často veršovaný), v ktorom súčet hodnoty písmen vyznačených veľkosťou, alebo farbou dáva v hodnote rímskych čísel letopočet. Výsledný letopočet sa potom vzťahuje k udalosti, o ktorej sa text zmieňuje.
Boli by sme radi, keby ste nám v logoch napísali, či ste riešili šifru doma z obrázka, alebo až na mieste! Prípadne, či ste o chronostikone niekedy počuli, alebo niekde videli. Určite nie je iba tu v Levoči.

Chronostichon on Thurzo's house
Interests about Thurzo's house:
- The Thurzo's house is certainly the most deluxe town house at first sight in Levoča
- Nobility of the house reveals the significance and richness of the owners of the house
- The house belonged to the Thurzo's family at first but later it belonged to the Csáky's famly- both the families owned also the Spiš castle!
- The Csáky's family gave the facade its present look/form and they were the last owners of the house
- The house was established in the 15th century by connecting two neighbouring houses - evidece of this is that you can see the different heights of the parts of the house
Here lived the White lady of Levoča according to the novel by famous Hungarian author Mór Jokai- of course that it's only a fantasy of the author (It WASN'T this Thuro's house but another one → the post office in Levoča. The Thurzos actually owned 3 houses in Levoča then)- Only Thurzo's house on the downtown has still the Renaissance attic. Attic is a low flat wall which covers the roof and terrace. This architectural element is typical for the Spiš region!
About the puzzle:
Your task is to find out the year ABCD which is encrypted in Latin text above the window of the 2nd floor on Thurzo's house. You already know from the name of the geocache that puzzle is about chronostichon. Chronostichon (in other words chronosticha, chronogram) is a text (often in verse), in which the sum of marked letters gives a year in the value of roman numerals. Then the resulting year relates to the event which the text is about.
We would be very pleased if you could write that you solved the puzzle at home or near Thurzo's house in your logs. Have you ever seen/heard it anywhere? It surely isn't only in Levoča.
