GAGB 2016: Do your lines! I must not drop litter. Cache In Trash Out Event

richlay: Doing this myself before the new automated system comes and does if for me without me having the opportunity to thank all attendees for coming.

Speaking to one of the locals who did the lines series yesterday who told me the kids have left a mess again down there already. More education needed at school I think!

Thanks all for coming, we did good.

GAGB Annual CITO weekend

Saturday 17th September 2016 (10am to 12pm)

I hosted a CITO event here a little while ago and we moved an incredible amount of rubbish but I was really disappointed when I came last week to do some of the new series to find a huge amount of litter, particularly at the end around the school where the reference point is.

Consequently, I've changed plans that I had for this weekend to spend some time back down here, particularly as there are new caches for folk to find from last time. This has been organised along with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust who hope to be around on the day

There will be someone at the published coordinates which is where car parking will be available for the duration of the event and this is where full bags should be returned for Leeds City Council to remove at the end of the event. The second location is to show an area of concentrated litter that I would like to focus on, though it is a bit of a walk from the published coordinates.

Keep an eye on any developments by logging your "Will Attend" or watch the listing.

There will be an electronic souvenir for attending.

The GAGB

The Geocaching Association of Great Britain (GAGB) was established in 2003 to provide a national geocaching organisation and serve as a UK point of contact for geocachers, landowners, the media and others with an interest in geocaching.

As part of it's 10th anniversary in 2013, it was decided to hold a CITO weekend in September which has now become an annual event.  There is a lot more information about what we do, including the landowner database, comprehensive event listings and forums at www.gagb.org.uk    If you would like to get involved follow the link and find our contact details.
