Hrossó Traditional Cache

This is our very first geocache that I and my family hide. We love this spot for many reasons, I grew up in Fiskhóll which is the hill with few houses you can see from this spot, and we played a lot in Hrossabitahagi or Hrossó as we call it when I was younger, most inside the forest, the one that you can see on your right side when you sit down and enjoy this cache. Now our family live in a street right by Hrossó and we still go there for playing with our kids.

The cache is located in a forest area near the camping site in Höfn so please be quite if you are looking for it in the night when people might be sleeping nearby. Today we have frisbie golf°course on this very same spot so you might find some locals playing around there.. :) The cache is small box but includes some things you can trade on.

I hope you will enjoy this spot as much as we do, and don't forget to go into the forest and walk around this area. If you go up on the hill above the forest you will also have a great view over the glaciers. 

The front of the logbook is made with real salmon fishskin which I use for my own work and I thought was perfect for this cache.
