A 'nerd' is sometimes described by the following three attributes:

  1. Intelligence
  2. Obsession
  3. Social Ineptitude

No wonder drama can arise when multiple nerds are forced to relate to each other.

This Finnish-born software engineer Linus Torvalds, is the man behind both `Linux` and the widely used revision control system `Git`.

He's not afraid of speaking his mind, and are known for turning public debates into flaming wars in no time.

I'm not a nice person, and I don't care about you. I care about the technology and the kernel—that's what's important to me.

Back in 2012, the day before Christmas, he let his 'care' fall down on one unfortunate developer named Mauro. A small patch to the linux kernal had some unexpected side effects, and Linus was not to happy with the way it was handled.
