Have you been wanting to visit Star Island to find the caches out here? Do you need a 1/5 for your D/T grid? This event is another incentive to come visit and explore this lovely little island and pick up the other caches that are here. There is also a cache on nearby Smuttynose Island, but you will need your own transportation to get there.
This island is child-friendly; there is a little playground on the front lawn they can use. You can hike around the paths, take a peek into the chapel built in 1800, sit in a rocking chair on the front porch and enjoy the view, visit the marine lab to see sea creatures, or visit the old fashioned lobby in the hotel.
The island has a water fountain, public bathrooms, and other amenities.
The event starts on July 2nd at 1pm and ends at 4pm.

Show up at the end of the dock to sign the event log sheet. If I am not there to greet you hang around a few minutes; I may be busy operating the harbor launch.
To get to this event you can:
- Arrive on your own boat (you will need to use the free launch service to get to the dock)
- Take a commercial ferry
- Be here as a guest of the hotel
