This is relatively new 'Little Bridge', which I cross when walking the geo-retriever to carry out maintenance on my nearby WLH series ... the old foot bridge was definitely becoming precarious and unsafe. The bridge I guess was installed during the winter of 2015/2016.
Please be very quiet and stealthy when searching at the GZ to avoid attracting attention from the sensitive neighbours!
Close to the little bridge is an unofficial off-road parking area for several vehicles, but take care when turning on the blind bend if approaching from the East Leake direction. Do not block the field gate, in the corner, or access to the crop field ahead of you ... also, be considerate to the nearby householder and horse riders on the bridleway, thanks.
The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast, Damian from Winter Foxes has created and updates a list of cachers who has found 10 or more little bridges and can be found here, if you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan on stanthews@aol.com and he will give you a number for your bridge, to qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xx then name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to Damian’s list.
