USE PARKING CORDINATES. Originally the land was owned by the military in the 1940's. It was used as an emergency landing and dropping point for planes during World War II to cool the bombs in the river. After the war, the Corp of Engineers built the area into a 9-hole golf course. It has since been expended to a full 18-hole course.
