How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small bison. From here follow the sign to Stratton Audley where the footpath will be on the right.

This is our second series Rocking Around Pounden and is around 9k in length over generally flat terrain on public footpaths. You will encounter livestock and a fair amount of flowing water, particularly between RAP17 & RAP18 where a stream crosses the footpath so keep an eye on the geokids. We managed to leap the stream when placing the series but it would be almost impossible to cross without getting wet between October and April. We have now placed a couple of scaffolding planks across the stream, no guarantee they won't be removed, you have been warned! Some of the footpaths have not been maintained so trust your maps. We have named each cahe after performers from our cd collection which you will see is very broad. There are 26 caches and a bonus so look out for the clues. Cache types are varied but all meant to be found, but you will need tweezers and a pen. There is parking in the village of Pounden where we suggest you start from, and "The Sow and Pigs" has a good lunch menu on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We hope you enjoy it and we look forward to your feedback. Happy caching.
