Geocache Description:

5th International EarthCache Event (5IEE)

Saturday, 24 September 2016, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Colorado Convention Center (CCC), Denver, Colorado, USA
5IEE Home

The event has 6 Lab Caches, which open at 9 a.m.

EarthCaching gets people out in the field to learn about their planet first-hand. Participants in this annual event will learn all about EarthCaching, interact with EarthCachers from around the globe, meet EarthCache developers and reviewers, find local EarthCaches, and engage in many other exciting and educational activities. The 2016 event will be held in conjunction with the GSA Annual Meeting, which provides a unique opportunity for the EarthCaching and Geocaching communities to connect with the scientists and educators among GSA's membership! Furthermore, Denver is a great starting point from which to explore the wonderful geology of Colorado!

For full access to the event, online registration will be required; you can register online through the GSA Store. However, access to the log book will be open to anyone and will not require registration. To see what is in store for this year's event, check out the past events: 3IEE and 4IEE.

Big thanks to cachers "micaparamedic" and "Cyclops" for being "Friends of 5IEE". Your support for the event, and for EarthCaching in general, is greatly appreciated!

The event has 6 Lab Caches, which open at 9 a.m. Three of the Lab Caches are on-site at the event, two are outside the event, but nearby in downtown Denver (near a couple of nice EarthCaches), and the last, a "bonus", is up in Boulder at the Geological Society of America (GSA) Headquarters. We hope you like them!
