Geocache Description:

Web-ling #40
A virtual cache at the historic Monroe County Courthouse in Bloomington, Indiana. My parents live a few miles from here.

In order to claim this cache you must locate two pieces of information:

1. Look for the tallest monument on the courthouse lawn. About halfway to the top are four years, one on each side. Add the four years together.

2. Atop the courthouse is a weather vane with an odd object attached. Identify the object.

Your password to verify finding this cache is the sum of the years followed by the name of the object. For instance, if the years add up to 7,950 and the object is a horse, your password would be 7950horse

Once you have the password, send your geocaching name and the password in an email to verify your find.

Alternate logging method added 11/9/2008:
If you prefer, you may verify your visit by posting a photo of yourself making a face like the object atop the courthouse, taken with the tallest monument on the courthouse lawn in the background. Make sure that neither the dates on the monument nor the object on the courthouse are visible in the picture.

If the photo is not posted, and I do not receive an email, I reserve the right to delete your log! As with most virtual caches, you are expected to PHYSICALLY visit the site to log a find. Internet searches and other "remote" methods of locating the information do not qualify. Also, no "retroactive" finds based on visits before the cache was created.
