Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates.

Something very unusual happened recently. When I archived my palindromically named cache, Slew o' vowels, I received several messages of disappointment. Apparently, folks liked it--or at least had solved it--and were looking forward to finding it. I often get no reaction when I archive one of my caches, but I sometimes get a happier reaction. The typical thinking in such cases might be something like, "So glad to get that accursed question mark off my map!"

Well, folks who were looking forward to bagging the prior cache may enjoy this one. The location is not too far from the prior one.

Once again, the cache is NOT at the posted coordinates.

You're going to need a slew o' vowels to complete this puzzle!

How about these pairs of vowels:
A,A=0
A,E=1
A,I=2
A,O=3
E,E=4
I,E=5
I,O=6
O,A=7
O,E=8
U,E=9

In the fifteen clues below, you will need to supply the pair of missing vowels. Once you have supplied those vowels, you will be left with an everyday word. The vowels might be next to each other, or they might not be. A hint is provided for each clue, both to make the clue easier to solve and to make each clue unambiguous. For example, if the clue were "CCH," the missing vowels could be "OA" (for "COACH") or "OU" (for "COUCH"). But if the definition given was "Something to hunt using your GPSr," you would determine that the missing vowels were "AE" ("CACHE"!). This would translate to the digit 1 for that clue.
