Geocache Description:

It's Almost Summer Picnic!
As always this event is open to any and all Geocachers.
Why so early you may ask? Well it's simple the summer is already so packed full of fun events we thought a late spring picnic would be best. And we have a really great place for the picnic, right on the shores of Lake Washington. June is a really great month, summer begins later in the month, plus it's national country cooking month, national camping month and national outdoor month. It will be on Sunday the 5th which is national ginger bread day and national cancer survivors day. This means we've got a really great day, month and location for the picnic!

Location: OO Denny park, Picnic Shelter
N 47 42.555 W 122 15.047
Date: June 5th, 2016

Caching: There are 4 caches in the park near the picnic, and several more on trails. One is just a few 100 feet from the event.

There will be a Trackable / Coin exchange area

Additional activity: The park is right on the shores of Lake Washington. Additionally there are trails that lead to Finn hill park where there are more caches! You really could make a full day out of caching, hiking and the picnic. If you want to brave the chilly waters there is a swimming area. Bring your canoe or kayak and take a tour of the shoreline. We have the shelter until 9PM so feel free to stay as late as you want or even stay for the sunset!

The Potluck:

Picnicking: Besides the shelter there is grass all around the shelter and more tables right next to the water that we can spread out on. There are picnic tables in the shelter, but it might be a good idea to bring along favorite chair, if you want to be sure of having a place to sit. This year our theme is to be announced. Once we have settled on a theme I will update the description and make an announcement. If you like you could bring a dish that goes with the theme or even dress the part!

Food & Drink: We'll have hamburgers, and hot dogs on the grill, plus all the fixin's. For beverages we will have soda, water and ice. This is a potluck so please bring a dish, side dish, or desert to share.
