About Somersham Station Station


Somersham railway station, Cambridgeshire on the Great Eastern Railway between March and St Ives. There was also a branch line that ran north-west from the station to Ramsey. It opened in 1848, but was closed on 6 March 1967.
The station was taken down and rebuilt at the Fawley Railway Museum at sir William McAlpine's house at Fawley in Oxfordshire. All that remains there is a short section of track and a bridge abutment opposite.
There is parking close to the co-ordinates given. The path is suitable for disabled but the last few metres are over grass.
The cache is not at the given co-ordinates but you will need to visit there to get the required information.
