Geocache Description:

This is a Multi-Virtual Geocache at Disney's California Adventure (DCA).

Disney's California Adventure (DCA) is located just south of the original Disneyland in Anaheim. DCA is built in what was once the Disneyland parking lot (parking is now mostly in the Mickey and friends parking structure). The clues are from objects, plaques, etc. that are permanent. Nothing is hidden, but it may take some looking to find the answers. There are some questions that are tricky. Three of the locations are outside of DCA (get your hand stamped if you are not an annual passholder!). The clue answers will not spell anything, but will open the achievement document which is available by sending an email to the cache owner. The achievement document is a password protected pdf file. Use lower case letters and numbers for the password. After you open the document, please post the proper secret word with your logged visit to show that you actually did find the cache. Remember, one wrong letter or number and you fail to unlock the document. Have fun! If you get stuck, email hints are available from the cache creator, time permitting. As always, buildings & trees can be a problem. Note: the original DCA Geocache by Klemmer is still available as cache ID 12464 Here are the locations & clues:

1. N33° 48.849', W117° 55.488' On what level would you find Mickey?

2. N33° 48.453', W117° 55.144' There is a plaque near here that commemorates a movie opening. What is the total number of people mentioned in the movie title?

3. N33° 48.496', W117° 55.239' This Jacobs engine produces 275 horsepower. How many cylinders does it have?

4. N33° 48.475', W117° 55.316' There are metal flowers on handles. How many petals are on each flower? Note: this clue takes you outside DCA into the Grand Californian. On peak days they only allow readmission to hotel guests through this gate. You may wish to do this as the second to the last waypoint.

5. N33° 48.402', W117° 55.258' What is the first letter of the animal mentioned on this plaque?

6. N33° 48.380', W117° 55.256' The addresses of these buildings form a pattern; however, there is a missing entry in the pattern. What is the last digit of the missing address?

7. N33° 48.368', W117° 55.368' Find a starfish on a measuring pole. If you are 37" tall, how many inches would you have to grow to be able to ride this ride?

8. N33° 48.301', W117° 55.348' One color car goes the highest. What is the first letter of the color of those cars? (the color of the top of the car, not the side panels; ignore the green cars)

9. N33° 48.296', W117° 55.225' What letter follows PIE in the billboard ad at this location?

10. N33° 48.309', W117° 55.259' How many sides to the cupola on this building? (It is easiest to count from underneath).

11. N33° 48.333', W117° 55.208' How many letters in the name of the object being sold here?

12. N33° 48.357', W117° 55.189' What step number is the PROOFER?

13. N33° 48.488', W117° 55.060' How many words are in the name of the theater (include the word theater)? This is at the exit of the theater. Step around the corner to find the entrance.

14. N33° 48.492', W117° 55.003' What is the first letter of the type of "wood" on this towering structure? (You do not actually need to get into the closed area to solve this one)

15. N33° 48.554', W117° 55.145' Find the name "Eldridge". What is the first letter of the first name?
