Observo que no has realizado ninguna tarea de mantenimiento sobre tu caché ni demostrado ninguna intención por solucionar el problema para reactivarlo desde que te han avisado otros jugadores con sus logs de DNFs y/o notas de mantenimiento, o lleva demasiado tiempo desactivado sin ponerle remedio. Al no demostrar interés en mantener y reactivar este caché, no puede seguir estando publicado en geocaching.com, ya que esto impediría que no se puedan aprobar futuros cachés de otros miembros que se coloquen en las cercanías de éste. Como sabes, según las normas de geocaching.com, no se pueden esconder cachés a menos de 161 metros de otros cachés publicados en la web. Por esta razón, procedo al archivo definitivo del caché. Recuerda que no podremos sacarlo del archivo en ningún caso.

De todas formas, quiero agradecerte de nuevo tu contribución al geocaching.

La Muralla Medieval La situación estratégica de la villa de Alcúdia - que ya desde época romana fue apreciada y reconocida - la exponía también a los peligros de estar cerca de la costa. Por este motivo el rey Jaume II diseñó un sistema de protección, la muralla, con una doble motivación: defender la población local y construir un lugar seguro al noreste de la isla en caso de ataque exterior.

La construcción se inicia en el siglo XIII (1298) y no concluye hasta mediados del siglo XIV (1360). Se plantea una estructura cuadrangular reforzada con 26 torres distribuidas a lo largo del perímetro de 1,5 Km. y una altura media de 6 metros. Todo esto y un valle que todavía se conserva configuran esta construcción que delimita el núcleo histórico de Alcúdia, que en el año 1974 fue declarada Conjunto Histórico Artístico junto con los restos de la Ciudad Romana de Pollentia.

Medieval Walls The strategic location of the city of Alcúdia, which was already acknowledged and valued during the Roman period, involved risks due to its proximity to the sea. Thus, King Jaume II designed a protection system, the walls, with a double purpose: to protect the townsfolk and to build a stronghold in the northeast of the island against attacks from outsiders.

The building period spanned from the end of the 13th century (1298) to the middle of the 14th century (1360). The walls consisted of a reinforced square structure of an average height of 6m with 26 towers distributed along the 1.5km perimeter, as well as a moat that has survived the passing of time. The walls, which surround the historic centre of Alcúdia, were declared a Conjunt Històric Artístic (Artistic Historical Site) in 1974 together with the remains of the Roman city of Pollentia.

Die Mittelalterliche Mauer Die strategische Lage Alcúdias, die schon in der Römerzeit geschätzt und anerkannt worden war, setzte es jedoch auch den Gefahren eines nah an der Küste gelegenen Ortes aus. Daher ersann König Jaume II. eine Schutzvorrichtung – die Stadtmauern, die zwei Ziele haben sollten: erstens die Einwohner zu schützen und zweitens für den Fall eines Angriffs von Außen einen sicheren Ort im Nordosten der Insel zu schaffen.

Am Ende des XIII. Jahrhunderts (1298) wurde mit dem Bau begonnen, der erst 1360 abgeschlossen wurde. Es handelte sich dabei um eine viereckige Struktur von durchschnittlich 6 m Höhe, mit 26 Türmen, die auf eine Länge von 1,5 km verteilt waren. Sie war von einem Graben umgeben, der noch erhalten ist. Dieser Bau umschließt das historische Stadtzentrum von Alcúdia, das 1974 gemeinsam mit den Ruinen der römischen Stadt Pol•lèntia zu einem Conjunto Histórico Artístico (Kunsthistorische Einheit) erklärt wurde.
