Le Potager du Roi est un jardin potager créé par Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinie en 1683 à la demande du roi Louis XIV dans le but de fournir le château de Versailles.
Il est aujourd'hui un jardin urbain de neuf hecatres placé sous la responsabilité de l’École Nationale Supérieure du Paysage.
Bien qu'il ne soit pas nécessaire d'entrer dans l'enceinte du potager pour trouver la cache, il est possible de le visiter (entrée payante).
Au Waypoint 1 vous vous trouvez devant une grille donnant sur le Potager.

En chemin vers le Waypoint 2 vous allez passer devant seize panneaux, leur lecture n'est pas obligatoire pour la cache, mais reste intéressante pour l'histoire du potager.

Sur ces lampadaires figurent un numéro d'identification à 4 chiffres. Additionnez ces numéros et ensuite :
C : Chiffre des milliers ?
D : Chiffre des centaines ?
E : Chiffres des dizaines ?
F : Chiffres des unités ?

Au Waypoint 2 se trouve une borne d'informations touristiques sur laquelle se trouve un plan de situation schématique. Allez au Waypoint 3 qui se trouve au repère n°9.
Au Waypoint 3 il y a une autre borne touristique.

Dirigez-vous ensuite vers le Waypoint 4 en suivant le cap G*(C+D+E)°
sur une distance de B*[C+(E*G)] mètres. Vous y trouverez une autre grille.
H : quelle est le nombre figurant sur la plaque à gauche de la grille ?
La cache se trouve a ces coordonnées : N 48° 4X.XXX E 002° 0Y.YYY avec

The "Potager du Roi" is a vegetable garden created in 1683 by Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinie at the request of King Louis XIV in order to Provide the palace of Versailles.
He is now an urban garden of nine hectares under the responsibility of the National Graduate School of Landscape (École Nationale Supérieure du Paysage).

At Waypoint 2 is a tourist informations. There is a schematic map on it. Go to Waypoint 3 located at the mark 9.
