The Puzzle

The cache can be found at N 5v L(Σ+V).ATV W 000 4(Σ+t).upΣ where

  • A capital letter means the position that the letter first appears in the name
  • A lower case letter means the number of times that the letter appears in the name
  • Σ means the total number of letters in the name
  • Use the name as given on the English version of Wikipedia, ignoring short words like "The", "Of" and "And"

The Cache

The cache is a small sample pot covered in camouflage tape.

It isn't big enough for swaps and trackables.

Always take your own pen. Please pay attention to the countryside code and always follow marked footpaths. Please park your car somewhere safe and do not block the road or obstruct an entrance.

The Series

You can find out about the whole series at :

http://the-gardners.co.uk/cachingseries/flags-of-all-nations/

Don't be tempted to get into a discussion about the legitimacy of each territory - it's a list from wikipedia, and that list itself freely admits that the legitimacy of some of the states depends on who you talk to. No politics please.

There are 249 puzzles in a series of loops. Generally the loops are designed to be walked in number order (ish).

You cache at your own risk. Most of the series are out in the countryside and are not accessible to pushchairs or wheelchair users. There are few facilities en route. In winter many of the fields will be very muddy, and there is livestock in some of them.

I would not advise attempting any of them in darkness, even those in the villages.

Please pay attention to the countryside code and always follow marked footpaths.

Please park your car somewhere safe and do not block the road or obstruct an entrance. The ones that appear to be next to a road have NOT been set as drive-bys - they do not have safe stopping areas. In general I have added parking spots to the starting cache of each loop.
