About SideTracked Caches

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website

About Sydenham Station

Sydenham station is on the site of the former Croydon canal. It was re-opened as a railway on 5th June 1939. It has an odd layout as the platforms are not directly opposite. Around 1844 the northbound platform was moved due to installation of 'Atmospheric' railway equipment. This used air pressure to provide propulsion but it was abandoned here just 3 years later. It was moved again in 1980. The southbound platform was also moved in 1952 because the branch line to Crystal Palace was being constructed.

You are looking for a micro cache. Please use stealth as this area can be very busy.
