This is not even approaching my idea of a traditional church building, in fact it has been described as a departure "from any conventionality" by English Heritage. The building opened in April 1966 when church moved to its present location from Durrington, where the parish was formed in 1927 and a chapel was erected in 1938. It does in fact have rather lovely stained glass windows, though these are, like the rest of it, rather contemporary.
To find the cache, go to the published co-ordinates outside the church. Along the front hedge there is a telegraph pole and a lamppost.
Take the three prominent numbers on the telegraph pole and call these ABC
There is a single digit number on the lamppost, this is D
The final location is then at: N50º 50.D(C+B-D)(A+D) W000º 24.(C-A)C(A+D-B)
