This cache is up Icicle Creek Rd., which is just beyond Leavenworth. This area is quite special to my husband and I, ever since we were teenagers, we have been coming up here on a regular basis. This is why I chose this for my first cache site.
This is a three part multi-cache, the first gives coordinates to the second, etc. The last one is where the goodies are.
It is a four mile loop trail, which is easy and almost level the whole way. A great walk to take the family on, in fact we went with Bugaboo and Kboy, who are both under ten years old. It took us about 2 hours. Just watch your kids in some spots, because of the river. A beautiful walk, with gorgeous views of the river and mountains the whole way. We went on a rainy, misty day, which was perfect, although with the elevation, any day will be good. We crossed more little bridges with streams running underneath them than I could count. We saw bright orange tiger lilies and honeysuckle, bunchberry, roses, clematis, queen’s cup, columbine, and so many flowers that I can’t name. What a nice walk to take on a Sabbath afternoon!
You can also visit several other caches along the trail as you work on this multi.
Bring water, and maybe snacks for cranky people. Good walking shoes. The walk took us about two hours walking time, keeping in mind that we had small children with us. When we put up this site, we were having problems with the trees and our coordinates. So if you have any problems, we apologize. It might be a good idea to check clues and spoiler pictures while you have cell service.
