Geocache Description:

Come Camp With Me for a weekend of Fun, Finds and Frollicks

 photo mega 2018 banner_zpstudnnpdn.jpg

As you may have heard, the big one is coming back to Yorkshire in 2018.

To celebrate this and spread the word, the Yorkshire 2018 Committee members will be getting about a bit ... North, South, East and West ... we would love to meet friends, old and new.

Camping events are perfect for socializing, relaxing and getting together with cachers from far and wide, this will be the first of my camping events I hope to organize and host as one of your UK Mega Yorkshire 2018 committee members. I have several things planned for the weekend, including something for Friday evening and Sunday morning, details of these will be published separately and nearer the time.

BOOKING

To book your pitch please ring the campsite direct and ask for David. If no reply, please leave a voicemail, he will get back to you.  Please ensure, when booking, that you mention my name, Bev Bradley, and that you're with the geocaching group.  This is to guarantee you will be charged at the discounted rate that the lovely David has kindly agreed.

There are a limited amount of pitches available, these are on a first come first served basis.  Please book your spot early to avoid missing out on a great weekend. For those of you who don't have a tent or caravan, why not stay in one of the camping pods?

Prices for two nights, inc booking fee -

1 man tent, no EHU - £16 for two nights

6' x 6' tent, no EHU - £26 for two nights

Family tent, with EHU - £32 two nights

Caravan on grass with EHU - £32 two nights

Caravan on hardstanding, with EHU - £35 two nights

Prices inc up to 3 people, no charge for awnings, gazebos or dogs.

----------------

The site owner is very accommodating.  You can arrive and pitch up from 1pm onwards.  If you wish to arrive earlier to do some caching, you are welcome to do so as long as you let David know.  If your pitch isn't ready until 1pm, you are still welcome to unhitch your caravan and leave it to go exploring.

The same applies on Sunday, enabling you to get a full days caching without dragging the caravan around with you!

The site has all the amenities you would expect, excellent showers, toilets, washing up point, elsan etc, with the added bonus of a pub and village store nearby.

I look forward to a fun, social weekend with you all!
