Ocupa 38 mil m² no bairro Vista Alegre.
Opened in 1996, the Bosque Alemão (German Woods) honors the culture and traditions that German immigrants have brought to Curitiba. It is 38,000 square meters big, located in the Vista Alegre neighborhood. Most of this area is dense bushland and was part of the old farm that used to belong to the Schaffer family. The place is rich in attractions: The Bach Oratory (a room for concerts), the Philosophers Tower (this is where I suggest you start the trail), with a gazebo, the Hansel and Gretel trail, the Enchanted House, with a library for children, the Square of the German Culture, as well as native forest woods and freshwater springs.
Siga a trilha de João e Maria
E confie na intuição.
Esteja onde a bruxa estaria
Na hora de assar o pão.
The witch will bake the bread,
So hear what she has to say:
Remember to lift up your head
And follow the siblings´ way.
