A costa norte da ilha do Faial oferecer algumas vistas espectaculares.
A localização desta cache encontra-se numa dessas vistas, que na minha opinião, é uma das mais fantásticas. Está situada ao ponto mais alto da costa norte, com aproximadamente 310m de altitude a partir do nível médio do mar.
Outro facto interessante acerca deste lugar, é de o mesmo possuir um marco geodésico (ou 'talefe'). Os marcos geodésicos são usados como referência, para destacar as diferenças na orografia do terreno.
Existem muitos destes marcos, quer na ilha, quer no país, e há uma forte probabilidade de os encontrarem em picos, montes ou cabeços. No Faial, o ponto de referência para estes marcos, é o Monte das Moças.
Todavia, esta vista espectacular vem com um preço.

Um puzzle desenvolvido à parte do Sudoko.
Uma breve explicação:
Tal como no Sudoko, as filas e as colunas contêm os números de 1 a 9.
Estes números só podem aparecer apenas uma vez em cada coluna e em cada fila.
Os números nas células pretas são dicas, não é permitido usá-los outra vez nessa coluna, ou fila.
As filas e colunas estão dividas em células brancas.
Em cada coluna e fila, uma “sequência” deve preencher os espaços entre as células a preto. (Por isso, não preencham nada nas células pretas).
Uma “sequência” é um conjunto de números consecutivos. A ordem não é importante (4, 5, 6, 7 e 6, 4, 7, 5 são ambas “sequências”. 4, 5, 1, 3 não é uma “sequência”, pois falta o 2).

The norhern coast of Faial island offers some spectacular views.
The location of this cache is one of them and, to my opinion, one of the most spectacular. It is situated on the highest point of the north-western coast of the island at appr. 300 meters above sea level.
Also special about this place is the fact that it once was a geodetic point. Geodetic points (in Portuguese: vértice geodésico or more commonly: talefe) are used to observe alterations horizontically as well as vertically in the landscape.
There are many of these points and you are most likely to encounter them on higher, secluded places. The reference point on Faial is Monte das Moças in Horta.
However, this spectacular view comes with a price.
You can only enjoy it and score the cache after solving the next puzzle.
The puzzle is a “Str8ts”
A puzzle developed out of Sudoko.
A brief explanation:
Just like Sudoko, the rows and colums contain the numbers 1 to 9
These numbers only appear once in every row or column
The numbers in the black cells are hints, it is not allowed to use them again in that column or row
The rows and columns are divided in white cells
In every row or column a “strait” should fill the space between the black cells. (So do not fill in anything in the black cells)
A “strait” is a set of consecutive numbers. The sequence is not important (4, 5, 6, 7and 6, 4, 7, 5 are both “straits”. So 4, 5, 1, 3 is not a “strait” the 2 is missing)
