Geocache Description:

St Lawrence is an Anglican church located in Lechlade’s market place.

The church building as it now stands was completed in 1476 but there was certainly a church on the same site before that.  Only small fragments of this earlier church remain – possibly the font, the figure of St Agatha in the north aisle, and 13th Century piscine in the south aisle.  It is known that there was a church on this site dedicated to St Lawrence in 1255 and it retains the name to this day. The church is recognised as one of the 6 finest parish churches in Gloucestershire.

To find the cache, go to the posted co-ordinates and locate the grave of John Turner.

Put the date of his death in the following format DD MM YYYY then call these figures AB CD EFGH.

Call his age JK

Now, substitute your figures in the following calculations:

N51 (J-A) A . (F-B) (D-H) C

W001 (G-E) E . K (F+E) B

The cache is located a short walk from the Church itself.
