Geocache Description:

The Oxford Lane Library opened its new doors August 2015. Come "check it out" and see why we love it so!

This geocache is only accessible during library hours, so plan accordingly.

Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Friday and Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Sunday: 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

SHP Lead Design, the architecture firm that designed the new library, solicited public input on what they most wanted to see in the new building and these things were included in the design. There is a reading garden, a drive-through for people to drop off and pick up materials, a dedicated teen area, an expanded Smith History library, an expanded children’s area, a computer area and ample parking (2017 UPDATE- there is hardly any parking now). There are many new programs for people of all ages to get involved in. The globe that hangs overhead, once the largest globe on earth, came from Shidler Hall on Miami's Campus. They also incorporated some features from the old library which gives it a familiar feel.

This is a two stage muzzle ( a 2 stage multi puzzle). The posted coordinates take you to the library entrance. Head on into the library. Use your library skills to locate the one non-fiction book on geocaching here at the library. Proceed to the location of that book and begin your search for the geocache. Once you locate the geocache grab the coordinates that take you the to the final.

A big Thank you goes to Oxford Lane Library for allowing this! Please behave as you should in such a place.
