Geocache Description:


Let's come together and show our appreciation for all the enjoyment that the forest preserves have given us over the years by doing some brush clearing at Fullersburg Woods .


When:
SATURDAY April 16, 2016
From 9:00AM to 11:00AM

Where:
We'll assemble near the Visitor Center of Fullersburg Woods. There will be an orientation and safety talk conducted by the Dupage FPD at the beginning of the event. Should there be heavy rains or lightening the event will be canceled. You can check out the local weather forecast below and may contact Mike Swaney (Greenback) 630-664-3515 the day of the event for status should these conditions exist in your area.

Be Prepared:
Our objective is to clear brush/invasive species in the forest preserve.

  • Bring Work Gloves if you have them (we'll have a supply too)
  • Wear sturdy clothing - long sleeves, long pants & boots
  • Read and be prepared to sign a FPD Waiver
  • Read the FPD Safety Guidelines
Be uber prepared - Print the waiver and bring it already signed to help speed up the sign-in process. Participants under 18 year of age need to have the waiver signed by their parent or guardian in order to participate.

Supplies Provide:
Mike Swaney will be providing; fruit, trail mix, donuts and bottled water. The Forest Preserve District of Dupage will provide all the tools needed plus they'll have a supply of work gloves.

Door Prizes:
Following the CITO we'll have a door prize drawing for some trackables donated by Mike Swaney. If anyone wants to donate something to the drawing please contact Mike Swaney.
