Geocache Description:

Based on the information available to me, this could be the 76th Kent Geocachers Monthly meet, or it could be the 77th! Personally, I quite like the intrigue. After all, it's not about the numbers, right?

Friends, Romans, Geocachers, lend me your ears.

I once heard that we have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak. Why not come along to The Hawkenbury Inn and practise both listening and speaking with your fellow Geocachers?

It's a dog and children-friendly pub, serves food, with a variety of tables, stools, sofas and chairs. Seems like vaping is allowed indoors, and smokers have a covered area outside. There's a car park, and even a garden, if the weather isn't too cold!

Gathering from 12:30pm to 3pm on the 20th February 2016, this is an ideal opportunity for experienced cachers to bend someone's ear about that last epic find they had; for newcomers who are a little wet behind the ears to come along and ask questions (we're all ears); and for CO's to send people away with a flea in their ear (Extra hints, indeed...! Pah!).

My ears have been burning in the run up to this meet - whilst the date was set, no-one had heard anything about the venue. Rather than give me an earful, people have been patient, happy to play it by ear while I tested out the local possibilities. Thankfully, my Geocaching colleagues are more forgiving than that, and I'm sure any apologies for lateness would have fallen on deaf ears, and mumbled talk of being really busy would have just gone in one ear and out the other for them. They'd have turned a blind ear to me, and saved me from the red ears of embarrassment!

Obviously, you didn't hear it from me, but keep your ear to the ground... I can't guarantee that there'll be little pots coming out of your ears, but a few things may happen locally to make you grin from ear to ear.
