An unusual event in the middle of the Tresco Channel. No it isn't in the sea, as on Friday 8th April there will be an extremely low spring tide. On these tides residents and visitors walk between Tresco and Bryher, two small islands in the Isles of Scilly. The walk is under a mile between the two.
You can set off from either Tresco or Bryher and the recommended starting points can be found in the Waypoints section. As I am staying on Tresco I'll be setting off from the Flood Hatch Beach waypoint just after 12:00. If you are staying on St Mary's you will be able to get a 10:15 boat to either island hopefully, and if you are staying on St Martins or St Agnes it will depend where the boats are going.

EVENT PLAN
The plan for the event is to meet around the headline coordinates at 12:15 until around 12:45, and then getting back to land before the tide comes back in. Low tide is at 12:31, so there will be plenty of time to get to either Tresco or Bryher.
EMERGENCY BACKUP PLAN
If for any reason (fog, strong winds affecting the tide etc) it is not possible to walk across, the event will be held at the New Inn on Tresco at the same time. There is a waypoint for the New Inn in the Waypoints section. I will make a final decision and post an announcement on the morning of the event or before.
