Geocache Description:

The campsite is the only site in Hong Kong run by the Scout Association for wild camping only. Unlike other campsites managing by the Scout Association, the camp does not provide catering services. The site has only a few huts for offices, lectures and activities.

The Gilwell Campsite is near the MacLehose Trail and the Wilson Trail. This campsite is also a check point for the Oxfarm Trailwalker.
But please try to not attempt this cache during trail walker as there will be LOTS of Muggles around. Thanks!

Transport
The campsite is 45 minutes walk from the nearest bus stop of route 91, 91M, 92, 96R of KMB at Clear Water Bay Road near Anderson Road.

Cachers can drive to the campsite, but may not be able to park at the private carpark and need to park on the side of road at own risk.

The Cache
This cache was placed on the day of the Gilwell campsite 55th Anniversary celebration event, to commemorate the lease of the campsite was effective on 26 December, 1960, which was exactly 55 years ago.

This is 1 of the 3 caches that CO placed on this campsite, so Scouts who camp here can have some geocaching experience while they are there.

There other 2 caches on this campsite are:
GC68RCF Gilwell Campsite (Traditional Cache)
GC68RRQ Gateway of Gilwell Campsite (Mystery Cache)

The Cache container is a small lock and lock box.

This cache is also part of the "Hong Kong Scouts Series", there is a code written on the log sheet, please write that down for future use.
