Le territoire des oiseaux correspond souvent à l’espace de vie de l’animal.
Il existe des postes de chant, un endroit précis où l’oiseau vient chanter tous les jours pour indiquer à ses congénères son territoire.
Les oiseaux sur une zone savent reconnaitre un voisin grâce à son chant, pour cela ils doivent déjà l’avoir rencontré à un meeting, un apéritif dinatoire, un karaoké ou autre évènement.
La répartition d’un territoire permet des comportements individualistes et d’autre part, un groupe social où chacun maintien des distances interindividuelles, une sorte de relation de voisinage dans un quartier résidentiel.
Les oiseaux ont leur adresse personnelle avec une boîte aux lettres qui permet de recevoir des cartes postales de leur voisins et amis migrateurs.
De préférence ils cachent cette boîte dans un arbre ou arbuste hors de la vue des chats.
Le numéro d’adresse n’indique pas où poser le courrier mais la distance vers la boite aux lettres, faut bien que le postier ait le temps d’atterrir.
Il va de soi que la distance est en vol d’oiseau.

Het adresnummer zegt niet waar de postkaarten moeten gepost worden maar de afstand tot de postbus, hierdoor heeft de postbode tijd om veilig te landen.
Uiteraard is de afstand gemeten in vogelvlucht.
