Actually.....any number, color, shape, design or image can be used in the construction of a Sudoku. I recently found one with a twist. I thought it was worth sharing. Added a coordinate checker but it should not be needed.
The rules:
1. All standard Sudoku rules apply.
2. Clue numbers appear OUTSIDE of the grid.
3. Clue numbers fit into the 3 closest cells, inline, IN ANY ORDER.
