Geocache Description:

Church of St John the Baptist, Latton

A straight forward cache and dash. Plenty of nearby street parking but this is a residential area, so please watch out for muggles.

The church at Latton is dedicated to St. John the Baptist and is a Grade I listed building. It is thought that the church was built by Cirencester Abbey in the middle of the 12th century, but there was probably a chapel on the site before the church was built. The church remained under the Abbey's control until the Dissolution of the monasteries in 1539.
