Novo leto. Njegov drugi dan. Ko smo vsi v pričakovanju nečesa posebnega, prvič videnega, srečnega. Si pogledamo v oči, sežemo v roko in si s preprosto besedo zaželimo res vse dobro. Iskriva belina snega, sončni žarki, ki se ujamejo v zrcalu, noč, ki se plazi čez deželo, milijarde zvezd in botra luna pred njimi. Škripanje korakov, hoja skozi gozd, pogledi proti daljavam. Ki jo izdajajo zgolj drobne lučke, zakriti obrisi.
Srečali se bomo, da si voščimo, nazdravimo, poklepetamo. Predvsem pa, da se sprehodimo po visoki poti, nekje med zemljo in nebom. Najdemo kotičke, ki jih sicer nikoli ne bi. In smo v družbi, v kateri smo vedno najraje. Družine, prijateljev, novih znancev. Tistih, ki jih veže ista strast otroške radoživosti, pustolovskega duha, iskanja vedno nečesa novega. Raziskovalcev nekoristnega sveta, iskalcev skrivnosti.
Naj bo dan, ko bo novo leto ravno pokukalo izza zavese, pregnalo z odra starega. Na robu dneva, ko noč že počasi izteguje svoje lovke nad dolino. Pri sv. Ožboltu bo ravno odbilo tri popoldan, ko si bomo segli v roko. In kmalu nato stopili na pot. Lučke v naših rokah bodo risale sled, kjer bomo že trenutek kasneje pustili svoj podpis. Sledili bomo dobremu možu, ki ima veliko imen. Zanesljivo nas popelje prav. Mogoče bo pod nogami škripal sneg, mogoče bo soj bakel risal sence.
Sedaj zanesljivo vemo že vse. Kaj in kako, kam in zakaj. Če ne, pa le vprašajmo. Saj otroški duh v nas ve, da je tako prav.
Nekaj kratkih navodil. Dogodek se bo začel ob navedeni uri in bo trajal na dani lokaciji predpisanih 30 minut. Vsi pa boste seveda povabljeni, da se v nadaljevanju udeležite druženja, ki bo trajalo od dve do tri ure. Torej se le oblecite letnemu času in nadmorski višini primerno. Ker bo nadaljevanje povezano s hojo, predlagamo dobro obutev. Seveda bo tudi lučka koristna, lahko pa prinesete tudi baklo in tako sebi kot drugim pričarate še prav posebno vzdušje.

It's new year again! Its second day. We all expect something special, we all expect to see something new and happy. We look into each other's eyes, shake hands and wish all the very best. The sparkling snow is shining white, the mirror catches the sunrays. Slowly, the night is coming and high above, there are billions of stars and the moon is moving across the sky in front of them. The creaking sound of people walking and moving through the woods, looking into the distance. Tiny torchlights and concealed silhouettes.
We will meet to wish each other all the best, to give a toast and have a chat. And most of all, we will meet for a high-altitude walk somewhere between the Earth and the night skies. We will look for secluded spots that we would never visit otherwise. We will be accompanied by our favourite companions: family and friends, but also new acquaintances - we all share the same passion for child joyousness, spirit of adventure and continuous search for something new. We are the explorers of useless worlds and the secrets they reveal.
Let this day of the emerging new year chase away the old one. We will meet towards the end of the day, just a little before the night starts to veil the valleys below. We will shake hands when the bell at the church of Saint Oswald rings 3 p. m. Soon after that we will go for a hike. The torches in our hands will lead the way towards places where we will put our signatures moments later. We will follow the good man of many names. He will certainly know the right way. Maybe, fresh snow will squeak under our feet, and maybe, fire torches will cast shadows.
By now you certainly know everything you need to: where and when, why and how. Do ask if something is not clear. Your inner child spirit knows that's the right thing to do.
Short instructions: the event will start at the stated time. We will be there for 30 minutes, but you are welcome to be with us also for the next two to three hours. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing for this time of the year and the altitude. We will walk, so do wear good shoes. Bring a torch of course, or even a fire torch - it will really make everyone's day - or shall we say night?
