161 Meter reglen gør at det er svært at lægge flere cacher i kødbyen. 


English: The caches I have hidden, are hidden in places I think tourists should visit, but not are on the usual tourist trails. Bring your own pencil. 161 meter rule makes it difficult to add more caches in the meatpacking district. When you are here to find caches, I recommend you, that you wander around in this exciting area (in the area on the other side of the road, on the other side of the wall). In the brown Meat City you’ll find yourself both in the middle of history, while many interesting things are happening. For example regarding small companies, art design, restaurants and music. DEAD ANIMALS ON VESTERBRO: Since the 1600s there have been slaughtering stalls on Halmtorvet in Vesterbro in Copenhagen. In fact, up to the end of the 1870s, there were small meat stalls throughout the city. As the city became industrialized, population density and cholera epidemics increased. Also focus on public health and hygiene improved. It was one of the reasons that the municipality built the Brown Meat City in 1879. This event brought together the Copenhagen meat industry. In an effective machinery cattle was slaughtered into steaksl. From 1888 introduced the City of Copenhagen 'slaughter coercion'. It meant that all private slaughter was banned and referred to the public slaughter houses on the Cattle Market. Dansk:

Når man alligevel er her og finder cacher, anbefaler jeg at man vandrer lidt rundt i dette spændende område. I det brune kødby befinder man sig både midt i historien, samtidig med at der sker mange spændende ting, med små virksomheder o.l. 

DØDE DYR PÅ VESTERBRO: Siden 1600-tallet har der været slagteboder ved Halmtorvet på Vesterbro i København. Faktisk lå der helt frem til slutningen af 1870erne små slagteboder overalt i byen. Efterhånden som byen blev industrialiseret, kom der med befolkningstæthed og koleraepidemier øget fokus på folkesundhed og hygiejne. Det var en af grundene til, at kommunen opførte Den Brune Kødby i 1879. Her samlede man den københavnske slagteribranche. I et effektivt maskineri blev kvæg via slagtehallen til bøffer i køledisken, under offentlig kontrol. Fra 1888 indførte Københavns Kommune ’slagtetvang’. Den indebar, at al privat slagtning blev forbudt og henvist til de offentlige slagtehuse på Kvægtorvet.
