This is a lovely little church which dates back to Norman times and still retains many of its Norman features such as the lovely Norman door as you enter the church with its semicircular stone work and carved tympanum. Inside are more Norman features but what is more striking are the wonderful carvings of the bench ends. The church is redundant but it is very well looked after by the Churches Conservation Trust. The church is open from Easter to October and the key is obtainable from a cottage and farm nearby (details can be found on the sign outside). There is limited parking but just enough of a pull in off from the B1106 right in front of the church which is best approached when coming from the Culford direction.
Congratulations to ‘daveh86’ for the 'First to Find'!
