How the Grinch Stole Cachemas #0:

Cachemas Eve

Saturday, December 12, 2015, 4 pm - 6 pm

Wegmans Fairfax, Upstairs

Optional White Elephant Exchange: $10-15 gift

It's December in NoVAGO; 'tis the season
for cachers from all 'round to join for good reason.
They gather together in search of glee;
to talk, sing, and laugh of caching carefree.

This winter, the trail to Wegmans we'll beat,
bringing our Geocaching stories for a meet and greet.
We'll gather with friends, some old and some new
and perhaps even bring gifts for me and for you!

On the 12th you're invited to celebrate a year
of finding joy and finding caches and of finding good cheer!
What will you find under our Cachemas tree?
Well, come out, do come out and perhaps you shall see!

To kick off this year's Cachemas in NoVAGO series, we're holding a special Cachemas event. Join us in the upstairs seating area of Wegmans Fairfax for a jolly holiday gathering with your favorite NoVAGO cachers. Grab some food from the cafe, bring a gift for the White Elephant exchange, and enjoy the company.

During the event, we'll give a special preview of our holiday series: How the Grinch Stole Cachemas.

So come on! Bring your holiday cheer and end the year right - NoVAGO style!

White Elephant Gift Exchange Rules:

  • Participation is strictly optional!
  • Gifts should be Geocaching-related, valued at $10-15, and wrapped before the event. Gift bags are okay, provided that the gift is not visible inside.
  • You will receive a ticket in exchange for the gift you bring to the event. This ticket will be used later to determine the order you'll select from the available gifts.
  • On your turn, you may open a wrapped gift or steal an unwrapped gift from another player.
  • Each gift may only be stolen twice.
  • If your gift is stolen, you must immediately take another turn, but you may not steal back the gift that was stolen from you.
  • When the last player has taken his or her turn, the game ends.
