HtGSC: Water for Little Carrie Ann Cacher Multi-Cache

Parts of this cache are within Fairfax County Park boundaries. Parks are open from Dawn to Dusk. Night Caching in Park Authority parks is expressly forbidden. Physical stages are no more than 25 ft off the trail. Please remain on the trails to assure good stewardship of the natural and cultural resources in the parks. With the leaves, trails are harder to see but still identifiable, please stay on the trails!

Welcome to NoVAGO’s How the Grinch Stole Cachemas 2015! This cache is one part of a special Cachemas series planned and hidden by cachers from all around NoVAGO. Dress warmly, load up your cache-sleigh, and go seek!

Seek out each of the How the Grinch Stole Cachemas "gifts" and collect the clue from each one. Once you've collected all of them, use the clues to solve the final puzzle and find the Finale! We won't reveal how many HtGSC caches there will be (the Grinch is sneaky you see), but when the final is published, if you've found all the Cachemas gifts, you'll have everything you need.

The clue will be clearly marked in the logbook of each HtGSC cache. Make sure you don't leave without it!

Who for Cachemas purposes is now Little Carrie Ann Cacher
So let's see how she handles the green Cachemas basher

When the Grinch grabbed the tree, and he started to shove,
This is when he heard a small sound like the coo of a dove.
He turned around fast, a small Cacher said who?
Little Carrie Ann Cacher, who was not more than two.

The Grinch had been caught by this tiny Caching daughter,
Who’d got out of bed for a cup of cold water.
She stared at the Grinch and said, "Signal Claus, why,”
"Why are you taking our Cachemas tree? WHY?"

But, you know, that old Grinch was so smart and so slick,
He thought up a lie, and he thought it up quick!
"Why, my sweet little tot," the fake Signal Claus lied,
"There's a light on this tree that won't light on one side."

"So I'm taking it home to my workshop, my dear."
"I'll fix it up there. Then I'll bring it back here."
And his fib fooled the child. Then he patted her head,
And he got her a drink and he sent her to bed.

And when Carrie Ann Cacher went to bed with her cup,
HE went to the chimney and stuffed the tree up!
The poor little Cacher, what's a child to do?
When you're a small little Cacher, not even two
