A Igreja da Nossa Senhora do Rosário é uma igreja católica portuguesa, localizada em Rosais, na ilha açoriana de São Jorge.
Da primitiva igreja paroquial localizada na já referida freguesia dos Rosais pouco se conhece reletivamente à sua história porque são escassas as noticias que a respeito da mesma nos dão os historiadores daquela ilha.
Sabe-se, porém, que a primitiva igreja do lugar remonta a meados do século XVI, porque já em 1568 tinha vigário, a quem, por carta régia de 30 de Junho desse ano, havia sido aumentada a respectiva côngrua (Arquivo dos Açores, VI, 193).
A actual igreja, segundo afirma José Cândido da Silveira Avelar, foi construída no centro da freguesia, próximo da Ribeira da Água, no decurso do século XVIII. No principio do século XX, tinha vigário, cura e tesoureiro.
A primitiva casa de passal para o vigário foi legada em 1684 por Braz Dias Belo, e o cemitério local que fica junto da igreja inaugurado em 1842.
A festa do orago celebra-se no dia 15 de Agosto de cada ano, atraindo de toda a ilha muitíssimos forasteiros a quem são distribuídos bolos de massa.
A imagem de Nossa Senhora do Rosário, adquirida a expensas do povo da paróquia, por iniciativa do seu vigário padre José de Simas Macedo, foi colocada na sua igreja no ano de 1859, indo das Velas em procissão.
A 9 de Dezembro de 1876 foi também colocado na torre da igreja um belo sino comprado por subscrição do mesmo povo.

The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary is a Portuguese Catholic Church, located in Rosais, in the Azorean island of Sao Jorge.
The early parish church located in the aforementioned village of Rosais reletivamente little is known of its history because the news that about the same give us historians that island are scarce.
It is known, however, that the early church of the place dates back to the mid-sixteenth century because already in 1568 had vicar, who, by charter of June 30 this year, was increased their congruous (Azores Archives VI, 193).
The present church, says Jose Candido da Silveira Avelar, was built in the center of town, near the Water Ribeira, in the course of the eighteenth century. In the beginning of the twentieth century, it had vicar, healing and treasurer.
The early Passal home to the vicar was bequeathed in 1684 by Braz Dias Belo, and the local cemetery which is adjacent to the church opened in 1842.
The feast of the patron saint is celebrated on the 15th of August each year, attracting a great many visitors from across the island whom mass cakes are distributed.
The image of Our Lady of the Rosary, gained at the expense of the people of the parish, the initiative of the priest vicar Joseph Simas Macedo, was placed in his church in 1859, heading the procession in candles.
The December 9, 1876 was also placed in the church tower bell beautiful bought for subscription of the same people. [1]
