Midwest Geobash 2016 Mega-Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Midwest Geobash: Well sports fans it is time to take our ball and go home. Another great Bash is in the record books. It sure was a hot one, but we made it through and are already looking forward to coming back home to Wauseon next year.

As in years past, there were no TB's physically left at the event. All were moved along by your fellow Geocachers. There still are a number of TB's listed as being at the event. These will all need to be marked as missing in the near future. Please check your backpacks, luggage, car, etc.... to see if you happened to pick one up but forgot to log it.

Make sure you follow Midwest Geobash on Facebook to stay up to date on any announcements or news.

Until next year......

Geocache Description:

WHEN:  July 21-24, 2016

WHERE:  Fulton County Fairgrounds - Wauseon, Ohio

WHO:  Everyone is invited, we hope to see most of the 2500 or so attendees from 2015 become "repeat offenders".

Theme: SPORTS! Any and all of them!
Mascot: Cardinal

As usual there will be a campsite contest with the top three winning a GPS unit plus free 2016 camping and a number of honorable mentions who win free camping in 2016.

We will once again be coming back "home" to the Fulton County Fairgrounds in beautiful Wauseon, OH. The event will be held July 21-24, 2016.

The schedule is being reset and with this theme we will be doing a lot of fun activities. So stay tuned for more updates.

As always registration is free. We have TONS of onsite camping available for you to get the full on-venue three day experiece of bash. Of course, if you're from out of town (like trippy) or prefer a soft bed and a warm shower at the end of the day (like TMA and -Eleanor-), there are also several nearby hotels for the Hotel Gypsies to stay at. There will be many new caches in the area for next year for you to find while you participate in event activities.

Often imitated, but never duplicated - MWGB has become a must-do event in the Geocaching world since its inception as a casual camping gather in 2005 at Harrison Lake State Park in Ohio. In 2016 we're back in Fulton County Ohio near where it all started with our venue only miles from the original event location.
